After having two kids I wondered how to live a healthy lifestyle. I went through many diet programs and training's to lose the "5 pounds" to feel skinnier. The reality was that maybe I did lose 5 pounds but gained it all back when I quit whatever program it was because I had my results, but then again I was back to lose that "5 pounds" a month or so after.

I never realized the roller coaster ride I was on with my weight and health until I had kids. I gained 110 pounds total during both of my pregnancies and I never felt good in my own skin after that. I know carrying a child is a miracle and I wouldn't change it for the world but my body was not the bounce-back type of body you see on social media.

I knew after I had my daughter in 2022 that I needed to change my habits and what was most frightening was we just sold our home to travel with my husband. My next question was how in the heck am I supposed to live in an RV and create healthy habits and live a healthy lifestyle?

First I needed to grow in self-worth and self-development. I started by listening to podcasts, daily and every morning either while feeding my kids breakfast or in my car driving. I also have grabbed some books along the way like The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma and Atomic Habits by James Clear. Also here is a really good podcast that talks about Gut-Health to help you gather some more information to live a healthier life.

Second I needed to develop a routine to get movement in during my day. Like waking up before my kids and getting a little at-home workout in or going on a morning jog or, when my kids get up we head to the gym for one hour. Consistency is key when creating a routine to stick with it and making it a habit. Start small and then develop more into your routine so it's not overwhelming.

Third I knew my groceries weren't the healthiest and we hear a lot of the time that when losing weight it always starts in the kitchen, and this is so true. What we put into our bodies is truly the key to how we function or how we act or how we look (Give this podcast a listen to Gut-Health I promise it won't disappoint). So I decided to research and start reading labels to see exactly what am I putting into my body. Keep in mind I am traveling around the U.S. and as often as we move I never know what kind of grocery store I have to start shopping at.
